The snowflakes are falling softly all around
Memories of my childhood that I have found
Outside lies a pearly clean blanket of white
I’m lost into a special time yet it’s so quiet
Standing at the window a reflection shows
Taking me back to a life playing in the snow
We’d drag a tub to the pond to play a while
The cold wind would blow to make us smile
Living on the farm was so different then in town
In our shack off the main road we got snow bound
We ’d race out into the yard to make a snowman
On a snowy day we played ‘catch me if you can’
We skated on the ice in our brown leather shoes
Oh what fun it could be our activities to choose
Our snow angels were perfect with lovely wings
The season of old man winter the snowbird sings
